Having played Adventure Island as a kid, the first one was a blast. Not that great game, but still a fond memory of the past. However, Monster Land was absolutely atrocious to play. Terrible mechanics, unfair enemy placements at times and stupid bosses. The third and fourth one were OK... Still, if you haven't played those games and want to, wait for a sale. Otherwise, check the newer titles. They are so much better. I don't get why they have to make the bosses and stages harder than the original. What's the point?

It's an incomplete collection(there's not the "Turma da Mônica" versions), with games that you probably already have access to somewhere else and without any major improvement to draw attention, just adapted to not be "bad" on new consoles and TVs. Maybe having a platinum (relatively easy even) might be an extra appeal for you to pick it up now, but overall, it's more interesting to wait for a good promotion to put it in your library. And if you are really a big fan of the saga, go far and try as soon as possible to get your limited edition of the Anniversary Collection, because this pack is really interesting.
