I think Valerie Dusk's approach to the world of dreams is fascinating, and her recent works reveal a clear evolution in the kind of images she prefers to explore. Veins and Wrtihe are where we really seem to be approaching something new, and although the world we get to explore is sinister in the extreme, I am also inevitably drawn to it.

I feel a bit bad giving this one a low score, because it's so short and the aesthetic is on point. The decaying, pixelated world engulfed in pulsating red veins is really engaging from a visual perspective. Sadly, that's about all it has going for it, as its SUPER barebones, and doesn't see the player doing much more than opening a door and reading a few vague lines of dialogue. It was made as a "Nightmare Vignette" experiment, so it feels a bit unfair to judge it like a full thing, but I still really wish there was some substance to it, because it could be something special.
