Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is a great game when you are not playing as the bird and the spider. The levels wherein you play as Diddy or Dixie are very fun as they feel super great and tight to control. Some of the other animal levels are also fun, as they bring a great variety to the platforming. The animals that are not fun are the spider and the bird. These levels were so bad that I enjoyed the game less because of their inclusion, and I hoped they did not have as many of these levels especially in a row. The bosses are also a nice tough challenge, except for the one with the bird, which was abhorrent. If you enjoyed the first Donkey Kong Country, you will likely enjoy this one, however the animal levels bring the experience down greatly.
