This game is incredible, was the highlight game of my childhood!

Yeah, I have to give this classic of a game full rating. Why? If you are a Star Wars fan, you have to try this, trust me! Finished the campaign in 3 hours, and after all those years, multiplayer still filled with players. You play as a 501st trooper in the campaign, and you have different modes of playing!

The most fun Star Wars game to play!

Love the gameplay and the novelty of being able to play on so many iconic maps from the film series as well as a dozen or so heroes and villains. Everything the first game did this does better. The Rise of the Empire storyline deserves its own movie or miniseries because its that interesting. The attention to detail is insane down to having Han frozen in carbonite and the Rancor on Jabba's Palace or the trash compactor on the Death Star.

My only real flaw is I wish there were some more heroes to play as like where is Padmé, Qui-Gon, Lando and Plo Koon etc. as playable heroes?

Favourite Hero to play as: Luke Skywalker
Favourite Villain to play as: Darth Maul

Favourite Maps
1. Death Star
2. Jabba's Palace
3. Geonosis
4. Hoth
5. Bespin
6. Tantive IV

This is the first second one, much better than the second second one

The only Great Starwars battle front game.
Sorry not sorry

This is the greatest fps & star wars game ever made

Hate to be a contrarian but..............it's aged poorly. Still an incredible game in it's own right

ive played this game a lot and also not at all
like i dont remember how to play this game, i dont remember how you beat this game, i dont remember what the best parts of the game are
but i know ive had fun with this game
and thats all that really matters

i think i heard that playing online on this game is way easier now? like i remember me and my brothers/cousins had to like
all connect to hamachi or someone had to host a dedicated server or something
but now servers are super easy
could be completely wrong im too lazy to look it up

you had to be a young boy booted up your PS2 with whimsy to understand

Absolute classic (personally I like the first one better but I recognize how much of an improvement this one is)

No game has really managed to capture what the OG Battlefront 2 had to offer. Extremely fun large-scale battles with a SinglePlayer option, and modes that add hours upon hours of gameplay.

I booted up Quick Match all the time and spent 10 minutes racking up maps that would play in the queue, even if I was only playing for a few hours. I just wanted to jump in and play some Star Wars action, and it was good at that. It took a new spin on Space Battles so they weren't just meaningless dogfights - you could land on the enemy ship and blow it up from the inside, or blow it up from the exterior with bombers. It made me feel less useless for not being an adept pilot.

Heroes vs. Villains was a fun and ridiculous time too with how silly it was.

But the kings of this game were the Story campaign and Galactic Conquest. The story following the 501st Legion isn't canon anymore, but it was dark, and showed the fate of the 501st throughout the reign of the Empire, and the fall of Clone Troopers as well, all narrated by Temeura Morrison. It's just... Chef's kiss. Beautifully grim.

And Galactic Conquest! Why hasn't any game tried to make a mode like this? It's not only strategic, but it was so thrilling to boot up a campaign and to rearrange where my ships were stationed so I could be ready for the enemy fleet. I remember getting annoyed by space battles so I'd dodge my ships around when it seemed like the enemy was closing in on one of my planets so we could fight on the ground instead.

I could gush about why Battlefront 2 is a fun shooter all day honestly, but it really is a game I put a ton of hours into and I have a deep connection towards.

Score: 94

One of, if not THE best, Star Wars games to date. Campaigns, instant action, huge map selection, space battles, all eras (at the time), multiple classes, vehicles, Jedi, Sith, force powers, interesting story, mechanics that reward you. I could do a whole video on how much time I've spent with this game. Only gripes I have are that the graphics are showing their age and sometimes the AI has noticeable patterns after playing a while.

Waiting for an HD remake. Highly recommend trying this game if you like Star Wars or cool Sci-fi battles.

Other than dated AI, this may be the best Star Wars game ever made. Great for pubs or the campaign. Galactic conquest is also great for an extended couch session. Unfortunately some of the factions seem quite a bit worse than others, though they are mostly the same.

Genuinely still have fun playing this game even though it is 17 years old

This game provided some great childhood memories. It still has more charm than the current iterations as well.

This is everything EA wants their games to be. Might be the nostalgia speaking, but holy heck. BEST. GAME. EVER. Also, the Jedi Temple mission is hard as hell. Goddamn jedis STOP DESTROYING THE DAMN BOOKSHELVES PLEASE I CAN'T BE EVERYWHERE AT ONCE :(

Started my love for Star Wars and Battlefield-type games

I mean, it's the best game ever made! The platonic ideal of a third person shooter with an uncountable amount of mods to keep you invested forever. The hectic action paired with the iconic setpieces and score of the Star Wars franchise makes something that I don't think could be matched.

Not only is the Instant Action fun, but the campaign is able to achieve a genuine emotional resonance at times and humanizes the clones in a way only matched by the Clone Wars animated series. (Although the inhibitor chip retcon in that series would undermine a significant amount of the conflict presented in this game's story, but I digress.)

Regardless of if you've got some buddies over and you want some fun Star Wars chaos, or if you're alone and want a unique experience in the Galaxy Far Far Away, this game has something great for everyone.

If anyone ever talks about "Star Wars Battlefront 2", this is the game I'm thinking about - even if I haven't owned the console I played it on for close to a decade now.

you just had to be there

Some experiences can never be recreated

what an absolute treasure of a game.

Same as the original. Good, but not great. Splitscreen was lit.

By God, I will not rest until society is populated by militaristic and gravely serious individuals in androgynous armor, ready to carry out orders to the utmost efficiency while skirts flow around their thighs. Holograms shining though the ash of conquest...

This game was fantastic! Campaign was fun. Hell, it was also difficult (Cringing at the Jedi temple and Yavin 4). Live action battles were a blast and had a ton of replay value with some custom settings. Nothing like making each side have 750 troops. I think galactic conquest was one of the highlights of this game. Loved the board game type strategy with both ground and space combat available. Still looking for this style to be done again in the future. Space combat wasn't amazing BUT destroying capital ships from within or from space was satisfying.
