Not as crazy about this game as others. No denying the world and characters of the Beanbean Kingdom were highlights, but combat was so simplistic all throughout. Finding out the hidden variants of your Bros. Attacks was cool, but once you do it, you just rinse and repeat for the whole game. I think my main hangup with this game is remembering Joke's End. God, what a slog of a dungeon.

A new Mario RPG series is born, this time featuring the two bros. Similar to how you could block attacks in Mario RPG, in this one you can dodge them by jumping or deflect them with your hammers. In addition to the original gameplay, the dialogue is excellent and memorable at times as well, with plenty of good humor. This game has spawned a bunch of sequels, for good reason.

One of my favorites from the Mario and Luigi series, overflowing with humor and charm. My only gripe is minor, being the ice palace dungeon. Overall, it's a fantastic journey with superb music and characters.

Literal flawless game. Basically shaped my entire view of the turn-based RPG genre outside of Pokémon.

Why couldn't Luigi wear Peach's dress the entire rest of the game

An amazingly fun action rpg that started the franchise.

Fun unique game compared to previous Mario RPGs. Nowhere near as good though.

I wanted to get into this game, but I’ve bounced off of it for now. I like the battle system for the most part, but what really gets me is the traversal. The button presses necessary to do many of the tasks in the game to progress just felt tedious and never sunk in for me. I just don’t think having to press the start and select buttons to toggle abilities on/off was fun and was frequently frustrated by it. Maybe I should try the 3DS remake and see if it play any better on a system with four face buttons.

Simple but very fun, wish some parts were built up a little better though, some parts were kinda confusing too 8/12

Sencillo (especialmente cuando le coges el tranquillo), pero muy bueno.

[ Story: 9/10 | Gameplay: 10/10 | OST: 8/10 ]

the maro brother they jump and stop on ememys and they esplode into star and cockletter is like 'erm the pincess i liek her voice' then she souldies and beomes bowletter and she did again and the end

The game was super well polished but the mechanics didn't speak to me. I might give it another chance at a later date.

It's not Thousand Year Door, but it's a strong start for Mario and Luigi.

Basically my introduction to the RPG genre while being just a little kid.

okay, this game is GOOD, like really good. One of the best RPGs made and it's just such fun. They could take all the padding and filler out though (like that barrel minigame with the bone gorilla guy). nonetheless, this is kino.

Love it, great start to the series

Pretty damn good. Very unique too, especially when compared to Seven Stars which you would think they would emulate in graphics.

Where the series started. Great new kingdom, catchy music, and a great new battle system.

This game has extremely charming visuals, dialogue and music which perfectly craft a unique identity for this series. The gameplay mechanics are also great at keeping the player invested on a moment to moment basis, but the game is so easy and the balance so exploitable that the game just ends up becoming a snoozefest at the end.

When I think of Mario & Luigi, I still think of Superstar Saga.

Los hermanos Bros. en una única aventura de locura, risas y diversión muy genuina + combates sorprendentemente más dinámicos de lo que parece (aunque comience algo lento al respecto).

Un gran comienzo de una gran saga, recomendado para empezar a explorarla.

I'm no good with timing-based gimmicks, and that's what the game's combat is based on.

Tantos diálogos que me cansou. Não cheguei nem na parte da gameplay

i loved this game when i was a kid and surprise i still love it now
