Had a hard time deciding if I would recommend or not this game. Although it is tremendously effective in scaring you (its very chilling and gave me shivers more than once) it falls flat one the ideia that it wants to be a full fleged sequel to The Eight Pages. When it comes down to it, Slender: The Arrival is a one trick pony that repeats ad nauseum the one and only guimick it has.

I bought this and suffered through it.

I just wanted to sleep the whole game but the 8 page part was everything for me (I felt very nostalgic🤧)

It's better than the original and adds a little more to the story.

tão bom quanto o original soq não inovo quase nada, meio decepcionante

Had to listen to "No one can hold us" to be able to play this for 3mins straight.

Um fast food no gênero terror. Curto, rápido, oferece os sabores mais familiares e populares e compensa sua ausência de tempero e substância com o preço.

i beat this game in 45 minutes and hated every second

If Slender the Eight Pages was the test run, this was the definitive more coherent definitive game. I do like some audiovisual elements very much, unfortunately the gameplay of the levels itself and the enemies are terrible.

Certainly a sequel. I think the scares are just as cheap, but the atmosphere really makes this game good. It's not gonna make me jump, but it's really good at building ambience.

more like slender: the departure, this game stinks!

More gameplay in this one than Slender: The Eight Pages but the story (or lack thereof) and scares are so disappointing.

Espere este juego por mucho tiempo y termino siendo algo decepcionante, fue bastante fiel a marble hornets pero no lo suficiente

There was one level in particular that was very scary, the rest of the game was pretty average in my opinion.

all you do in this game is literally just walking and with some tinsy bit of noise jump scares every 10 mins

I really appreciate that they created a Slender game with a proper story mode, that teaches you more about the Slender lore. Unlike the original game, The Arrival is more than just collecting pages, which makes it way less repetitive.

Very decent game that managed to accomplish what it wanted: to preserve the gameplay of the original Slender Man while still managing to set it as a mysterious, filled with riddles oddity within a more or less grounded story. A (spiritual?) sequel.
The original and ported level may definitely be easier than the original game but it's now fair gameplay-wise, and so are the new levels. You're definitely forced to have a map ready for the "In the Abyss" level, though. Some of those spawns are undair.
