I know it's supposed to be about creative freedom or whatever, but a little more structure and direction in the form of objectives or a scoring system or something would've been nice.

It's just bland. All you do is decorate buildings, but without the satisfying progression found in the main games. You design the places how you like, but then what? The best thing about it is that it lets you easily experiment with furniture items from New Leaf that you may have never tried out, so it may give you some inspiration for your own home there.

For me though, this game was just a forgettable, empty experience in an era filled with bad Animal Crossing spinoffs.

Fun and relaxing, I remember putting lots of hours into this! Also great for meeting all the villagers that aren't in your village.

Me encantó.

Adored this game to bits.

My favorite part of Animal Crossing was designing houses anyway, so this was a dream come true. If you don't like decorating/designing, then just skip this one.

BUT I love decorating. I love designing. I love Lottie. Yippee.

anyone ever go on that house sharing feature and see people with whole rooms just covered in hentai custom designs because that sure was a jumpscare

takes all the fun in decorating homes in animal crossing and just lets you have a free editor. its a fun and cozy decor game and i love it for that

The worst part of the Animal Crossing Franchise gets its own game. Honestly I would take the Island escape minigame over this

Happy Home Designer is an interesting take on Animal Crossing, however there isn't really enough content to make it feel complete. The gameplay loop isn't interesting enough to carry this concept on its own.

Beautiful, it takes a new house-building system that makes it even more fun to do, and builds a game around it, completely free form
Tons and also no replay value at the same time

this game made me feel like a pro decorator ngl

Fun but extremely repetitive. Gets boring quickly.

im glad that they brought this back as DLC for new horizons cause this is all i viewed this game as

i had so much fun designing and decorating the villager's houses, i felt like Hilary Farr from Love It or List It

Fun, relaxing game. You won't get the same enjoyment out of it as a mainline AC game, but I mean I'd recommend it.

this was a great game. I stopped after doing all of the villagers, except amiibo because I don't have any and don't wanna hunt them down, but other then that I'm done, and I don't feel like restarting just to make more homes again instead of only editing

This game was actually satisfying af to play idk why it felt like all the animals i made shitty houses for were part of da family

A really great spin off of the game! really enjoyed this. It could've been a DLC for sure.

it was cute but not much to it really.

why did i buy this at launch? ig its fun

was fun, liked the vibes, and it hones in on a core aspect of the main series. a good spinoff.

The music is excellent and I like all the options you have to decorate houses, but I wish there was just a little more to the game. Maybe a puzzle mode or something.
