I enjoy the novel introduction of tower defense to gacha and think it's a good way to make use of a large team of characters. There's also plenty of really cute designs and Utage is probably the hottest thing this side of the google play store. The edgy setting and story don't appeal to me at all so I ended up skipping the story but I had a good time grinding out the stages. Eventually the lack of a skip button or higher replay speeds just started to drag and the chibi sprites don't hold up well enough in the post-blue archive age. I am also a massive brainlet when it comes to tower defense so a lot of the gimmicks could get pretty frustrating. Definitely still in the upper echelon of gachas and worth trying if you're in the market for them.

The stamina system is horrid and it felt like I just logged in every day, left it on autoplay for 20 minutes (or an hour whenever Anhilation refreshed) and do that for days because grinding is extremely long. I have the image of 1-6 burned into my brain.

I lost interest in the story by Chapter 5 and the game as a whole by then (well, more like I liked where the story went but because of grinding, events, and how the presentation was done, I either forgot what happened because I returned from one week of grinding or the character statics just didn't feel interesting, and I like Visual Novels).

I can guarantee this is just me not being the target audience for a game like this, gacha games rely upon social interaction between its players and the interactions I have had is how much they want to drill certain operators even though the game is almost anti-horny in its designs, which is something I like.

I really liked the concept and raw gameplay even if I didn't care much for the plot, but this game has like 1.5-2 stars removed because it's a gacha game and the problems it faces because of that.

I had three attempts at playing this game. First, I didnt really get what was going on, just leveled up my fav characters and moved on. Second, friend asked me to and I was looking for a new game to play, didn't last for long either, got angry that I couldnt progress in the beach car event, and third... I guess it was because I was suddenly introduced to one story of the character and got EXTREMELY attached to it. So I will definitely say - its not a game for everyone. For a mobile game, you actually need to think a little bit and getting support character doesn't always help. There is just a little too much grinding though and story segments on for example events can be a little shorter (I like the story but it still could be showed with breaks so I can actually leave the game to do something and not to repeat walls of dialogue again). The gacha though is... actually kinda good? not complaining on that one. You can actually do all of the stages with lower star characters (which I am actually trying on my second account) so have fun!

Solid tower defense game, with some major problems. Limited characters never getting proper reruns, and there being no way to guarantee a character you want on regular banners is pretty unacceptable for a modern gacha game. Newer content hasn't been great either, with two of the permanent game modes released in the past year (SSS and IS2) being heavily reliant on luck, and a good chunk of recent event bosses have had pretty bad, albeit not difficult, mechanics. Also has awful opportunity cost problems, especially when it comes to buffing units through modules.

Brownie points for being the least predatory, least grindy, least fanservicey gacha I've played. Has competent writing, respects the player's time and is fundamentally an actual video game that requires you to think and play strategically. There's still a decent amount of grinding and microtransactions since a free mobile game kinda needs these things to stay afloat but it's yet to get egregious or feel forced.

They also put a pretty anthro tiger lady in the game and literally named her wife so yeah I like this actually.
