Actually fun to play with friends.

I remember this being decent multiplayer game. Playing on such a massive map was cool.

So many good stories were created on this game

Played almost 100 hours of this before I realised all the modded servers had to be accessed through arma 2 operation arrowhead, it still was fun.

It was a great game! Its a survivor based game and you can easily break a leg or two. If you die you lose everything, so you have to play smart and try establish yourself in the game:

I was never a hardcore DayZ player, but I’ll never forget my early experiences playing it. The first time I heard a car driving by in the distance after I’d been crawling around the countryside for an hour, was strangely impactful. There was a real sense of being alone and desperate every time I’d log in.

How is a mod better than a full game?

This was one of the first mods and PC games I bought (Arma II) because of the huge boom around this mod. My crappy HP Slimline Office PC couldn't run the game so I saved up some money and got a Sapphire HD 5550 (I think) from ebay. Now it could run the game at all low settings at like 25-30 fps and I had the time of my life. RIP this era.

The mod is way better than the released standalone version.
