Man, that's just painfully underwhelming.

It's not bad, some moments are excelent, like Saradush arc, Sarevok and Viconia's development, but everything else is kinda mediocre and antagonist is omegahorrible. Wish we got proper Baldur's Gate III (not bashing at Larian tho)

The story? Yeah it’s pretty good, I guess.

The gameplay? Your DM is a sadist, but they provide you all the tools you need to succeed. The game is difficult, but rewarding - and that’s part of the charm.

ToB and high-level DnD has always sucked.

The epilogue is incredibly cheesy but so melodramatic and full of sovl that you cannot do anything but smile and cry at the end of this long journey.

Narratively pulls off a player's partial descent into evil very well, but the quests themselves are pretty dull and at this high of a level there is a simply unfortunate amount of micromanagement to do in fights to the point that I actually threw in the towel at the final boss. Will possibly review later after grinding through watchers keep and actually defeating the final boss with an overleveled character, but for now I just wanna play BG3 after going through 110 hours of this in a month.

Great add-on (what we used to call DLC kids ;) for an already brilliant game. Just more of that good shit.

It was nice to finally close out the series, but what a fucking slog. Epic level play like this is either hordes of trash mobs that take 30 minutes to cut through or checking a spreadsheet every six seconds to make sure you've cast the right debuffs to counteract the enemy's own spreadsheet of buffs.

Any long-standing lore consequences of the ending have been completely invalidated by 5e, so it all feels a bit hollow. I would have been content ending with BG2.

An amazing way to end the duology. Also, obtained the super armor to not use it at all.

It's a good closing to the saga, but it's way too cliche, and holy damn, the combat encounters are bloated af. It has some really nice locations, though: the new cities, especially. An overall decent expansion.

a estória piorou ein, uns antagonistas bostas, o twist mais óbvio do mundo, tá louco

lost save file, have an older one, but before i defeated demigorgon

The final chapter is awsome and hard to beat couldn't beat the final boss after all that hard work, will have to play through every single game to get back to this point on the switch and kill her. game is worth your time despite being super out of date. also some of the ground textures are literally pictures of coffee beans.

only played bg2 for a few hundred hours before beating its final boss... just having too much fun with character/party builds and the roleplay driving player imagination that can happen with this game.

now i just need to figure out how to edit dialogue so i can make jaheira bisexual. why isn't there such a mod already?!

The end =(

A fitting end, at least.

Personally the weakest part of the trilogy for me as I really enjoyed the exploration but the payoff was worth it and it was interesting as a change of pace. -1 star though because I realized Aries' Voice Actor is the same as the twins from rugrats near the end and the romance felt weird from then on.
