I wanted to love this so bad but it's still so frustrating as a Battlefield fan.

It was fun to play but the menus always confuse me

Can't call this slop. Can't even call it a game...

bought it for 10 dollars and feel like i wasted my money.

Took a two month sabbatical from other games for a minute so I could play something straightforward and uncomplicated. BF2042 is that game, for better and worse.

PROS: It's very polished, barring some hilarious exceptions. Movement, shooting, and traversal of objectives is fluid and satisfying. The maps are huge and multi-layered, I played as much as I could and I still don't think I covered more than half of the maps' areas during matches. Lots of options for killing bad guys. I didn't feel like I needed to buy a Battle Pass to do well at the game. It's very fun to shoot things in this game.

CONS: BF community fucking sucks most of the time, with players either ignoring objectives or camping at spawn points. Most players just play Conquest so that's the only game mode you can regularly find matches in. I did encounter cheaters every couple days. Vehicle combat is broken in too many ways. Weekly game modes were not fun.

I could go on, but here's the bottom line: this is a great game to pour time into if you're okay at FPSs. If you've got the time and patience for the game's long rounds and large online contingent, it can be very rewarding. Me? I bowed out after two months once I realized there wasn't really any way to elevate my game past where it was. I'm not big on MMOs at all, but I still had some fun here.

It's okay! It's kinda funny that there's all these world-building character details that you get approximately zero context for because the whole game is multiplayer and there's no singleplayer. But the multiplayer is still Battlefield in the style that 3 and 4 cemented, and it does "feel" cool to make tactical plays and be smart during tense situations. So I like it.

I don’t know how it was at the beginning (I hear that pretty terrible) but right now it’s decent I think as I'm enjoying my time with it, more than anything on Hardcore matches or Conquest. I like that you can customize on the go the weapon that you have with unlocked and saved attachments.

This is a multiplayer only game so compared to my other reviews, this review will be much shorter and with much less detail.

Battlefield 2042 is a weird game to talk about. Because I haven't played it at launch, I entered the game at Season 3 I believe and then continued on with 4 and left at 5. There have been a sixth season as well with a seventh one coming so I'm sure the game has already changed significantly since I played it.

But for the time I played, BF2042 was a game that tried to be a Battlefield game that was originally setup to be something different. The original launch had a bunch of problems and weird design decisions like Specialists instead of classes. Many of these issues have been addressed, like the reintroduction of classes into the game. Many maps also saw significant change.

128 players thing slowly rolled itself out and got replaced with 64 players again. But while these changes are mostly solid and a clear sign that the development team listens to feedback, the game has not been build to work properly with these systems so the game is like a weird amalgamation of ideas.

128 players is too chaotic, yes. But maps are too big for 64 players and you don't feel the atmosphere of war. Specialists was a bad system, yes. But classes doesn't have enough specific attributes to them to make them unique.

It feels like this Battlefield game has been made using an alpha build of another game, which is sad to see. However, it's still Battlefield. It looks great, sounds great and plays great. Gunplay is as strong as always. Grappling Hook, Wingsuit and other gadgets like that are also very fun additions.

So even if the game doesn't have a clear identity, I had a good time playing it. After around 35 hours though, it was enough for me and I moved to different games. It lives on as a good but not great memory in my head.

rating given for the demo that i played around 2021. a husk of what battlefield used to be.

1.5☆ - Yeah Battlefield is not my thing, too slow, too big, too uneventful, I prefer faster paced shooters, though the game for people who prefer these types of shooters is probably good, I mean it looks pretty great graphically.

I can't wait to see the year 2031, don't ask why.

It was bad on release, but it's very good now.

It's a Battlefield game... Or maybe not? Fun enough though.

Hello? Who asked for this? Oh right, I did, but a century should have been added to the title - 2142. Where are my mechs??

Oyuna girer girmez karşına çıkan ilk şey battlepass satın al yazısı. Sadece bunun için bile 1 puan verilir.

gunplay is really good but menus and general experience is worse than the previous games

It's honestly pretty fun. I didn't play this game on launch, and I know it wasn't so great at launch. But as a Battlefield game in its current state, it's pretty damn fun. Though I hate that they constantly try to sell me the battle pass when I boot up the game

cant believe sundance is enby, honestly makes this game for me as ive been struggling with my gender lately and never thought hecking battlefield would make me feel valid LOL!

This game had loads of flaws, but i still enjoyed it even before it became better. It is now much better than at launch

What a tiny, miniscule game this is! Feels like a demo version of some bigger, actual release. When they removed the single-player campaign I was happy because surely all those resources are now being put in making a proper multiplayer? Wrong, these games just keep getting smaller. Still, it's a small Battlefield game, looks and feels the same as any other Battlefield game. What there is, is good. Soundtrack by Hildur Guðnadóttir is excellent, of course. It's fun for a weekend or two.

la peor compra que hice en mi vida

Sonradan updateler ile güzel toparladılar ama onun dışında götten seks.

super lackluster, felt so rushed even though it looked so promising. Biggest fault with the game were the glitches on release and lack of weapons (its battlefield wtf)

Joguei recentemente com mais dois amigos e foi surreal de maravilhoso. Pena que teve um lançamento desastroso que interrompeu uma atenção a mais que esse jogo merecia

On launch, this was a complete mess. Now, on Game Pass? Playable and pretty fun all things considered.
