Carmageddon 64 is one rough ride. The idea of mowing down pedestrians and smashing into rival cars is a guilty pleasure, but this port is a technical disaster. The graphics are blurry, the controls feel like you're driving on ice, and it chugs along at a snail's pace. If you're desperate for some twisted vehicular mayhem, it might scratch an itch, but be warned - this one hasn't aged well at all.

This is such a fascinatingly bad game, made by the same people who brought you Superman for the Nintendo 64 but then I'd argue that this game is just ever so slightly worse. And that's mainly because there are some vaguely ambitious aspects involved in Superman, except this game was just a direct port of Carmageddon 2 that absolutely fails to achieve any of the gruesome fun that game had.

Gone are any of the satirical elements calling back to Death Race 2000, or any sembelence of impact or the feeling of driving a car. The controls are absolutely terrible, it glitches like all hell every so often, and also with graphics consisting of small textures which are stretched out to jarring proportions which is noticeable even on a crappy CRT set.

Everything about this game is just a mess, one where it almost feels like someone was intentionally just playing with it to see if they could suck out all of the fun out of a conventionally good game - which on that basis they would have well-succeeded.

até que tem umas pistas de primeira vista pareciam boas de correr, mas além delas serem confusas, o jogo é uma BOSTA com os piores controles possíveis e é um dos piores jogos de "corrida" que eu já joguei. nada se salva nessa porcaria
