First impressions I will be fair were not great, this is essentially a punch out clone, except replacing all the boxers with various horror characters. So zombies, werwolves, vengeful brides and more and stylistically I can dig it.
Problem is just the controls are a bit on the stubborn and stiff side, it can be quite difficult to respond properly to attacks and it takes quite a lot of getting used to and try and die sort of gameplay to actually make any real progress. Sure that isn't as much of an issue on the Evercade thanks to autofire mapping and save states but it does sour the experience somewhat to have to rely on such features.
