Nah bc they lowkey cooked with this one. So nostalgic

Martin and Sonia at the background games

Honestly don't listen to the haters on this one. It looks like another painful Wii game experience, but EA Playground is a lot more fun than the generic box art and premise would have you believe.

While there aren't a ton of playground sports to choose from, many of the offerings are pretty good and serve the Wiimote well. Dodgeball is the standout of the package and I actually enjoyed the motion controls here. I also really liked Kicks, a sort of volleyball-soccer combination, and the chaos of the Slot Car Racing mode.

A surprising highlight of EA Playground is the adventure mode, which has you exploring a small open world and participating in the various sports as you see fit as you collect stickers and eventually face the sticker king. EA probably could've left this game with just the bundle of minigames but to have this single-player campaign adds a lot of surprising value.

I wouldn't consider EA Playground to be a must-have title but it's definitely not as bad as you might be led to believe. I was glad to own it for the Wii and put a decent amount of time into mastering several of the sports.

I used to love this game as a kid. I played it all the time. I went back to it somewhat recently around 2019-early 2020, and it was honestly still pretty fun. Some of them like the paper airplanes were kind of annoying because of the motion controls, but most other games are actually really good. I would get a switch version of this game if they ever made one as long as it wasn't too expensive

Probably one of the most 2000s things in my game catalog

remember when i said mario and sonic olympic games was the goat of party games? i was actually lying, this is the goat of all party games.

The “kicks” mode in this game fucking SLAPS. I am fr a god at this shit. I might have to go pro. If they made a switch version of this it’d be an instant cop.
