Great to revisit Cantha as a former Guild Wars player. Unfortunately the story is not my cup of tea and the weakest expansion so far in this regard.

Had high hopes for it but it ended up being quite disappointing outside of strikes being quite decent despite me not liking them.

I just think it's funny they introduced a canonically nb character on screen before FFXIV, a game with a famously predominate queer fanbase, got an even remotely canon queer rep. But also the story is good and the gameplay is fun and the world is so fucking beautiful.

I adored this expansion. It felt like the devs have really figured out how to get the best out of the game. The maps are stunning and incredible fun to fly or skiff around, the soundtrack is unreal, the metas (post-tweaks) are satisfying, and the writing is the best in the game and as good as I've seen in an MMO.

My only real gripes are that I've not found much use for the turtle (although it's a cool concept), and that the new legendaries are a bit plain and not to my taste.

Idk how any other MMO competes GW2 fucks so hard in every aspect, still prefer Path of fire aesthetically but they for sure raised the bar for instanced & open world meta content. looking forward to grinding my ass off

The best free to play mmo in my opinion. I got hooked immediately when I realized skills changed depending on what weapons you had. Although I've taken long breaks from it, I keep going back. Met some truly great people from playing this. The new expansion is alright, but it can be rough to do group events when no one is around. It's good to get with an active guild for this reason (hence the title, I suppose). Still, I will always love this game.

A fantastic conclusion to the dragon storyline that started in Guild Wars 1.

Absolutely loved revisiting Cantha; the environments in particulae were breathtaking and the stories and characters were very enjoyable!
