you know that one scene from Ratatouille where the guy takes a bite and is immediately sent back to his childhood? that's how it feels to experience Ib again after all these years

also god the designs and art and music and everything in Ib is just So Good.. i love you Kouri

I can see the appeal, but its not really my thing. The puzzles range from boring to pretty good. I realized the reason why youtubers clickbait the Red Eyes segment so much is because... its just about the only big scare in this entire game. Credit where its due, the segment and aftermath are fantastic. I also can't help but feel the art is amateurish and not really in an intentional way.

Garry my beloved.

Classic RPG Maker game that stood the test of time. This title even years after its original release never ceases to captivate me. The game's creativity and character writing shines through even more in this remake and also did I mention that Garry exists? I wish you were real, Garry.

Apparently this is a classic in the RPG Maker horror genre. While obviously less refined than other similar games (Corpse Party, Omori), I think the game accomplished what it set out to do, which is to provide an enjoyable horror adventure.

The characters are interesting, the story is good (even though there's not much of it), and the visual design is nice, creative, and horrific at the same time. Every decision in the game matters, making you feel like someone with actual agency. Depending on the actions you take, there are 7 different endings.

The game managed to captivate me and tell a lovely horror story in its two hours of runtime. It's not really scary, nor very hard, but still disturbing and well worth playing through.

If Garry can't come home then nobody's going home

Charming as hell, wonderful art, wonderful puzzle design, and really intriguing in its own way. Has way more content than it'd need too if you want to try for different endings or to fill the True Gallery.

somehow even better than the original. the dedicated "talk to partner" button made for some really cute and endearing conversations and the new puzzles and artwork took me back to 2013 when I first played the original. had a great time with this one

Garry my beloved + mary my child

Horror masterpiece, RPG Maker horror done right, you should totally play it

Assim como a arte de Guernica, o jogo é bastante imersivo, e possui uma atmosfera sufocante. A nota só não está maior pois não consegui me apegar tantos aos personagens e ao estilo de puzzles, mas no geral, bom jogo.

arguably better than the og, i rlly enjoyed the changes this game rlly scratches my brain so bad i love it also garry my one and only forever

Original is as awesome as the remake

Really fun and creative short RPG Maker game with nice art direction. Wish it gave you a few more hints on how exactly to get each ending because it can be very cryptic without a guide. Good time though. Garry's my goat.

Really enjoyed this! I myself felt like I was sucked into the angler fish (?) display, as the worlds and story both had me hooked, causing me to forget about everything I needed to do and fervently make my way through the whole game in one day (hell, one sitting even). The ending I got was 'memories crannies' which is pretty much the second best-ish, but I was still a little bummed I didn't get the "best" one, though it's fine cause I didn't use any guides. Will definitely replay for the various endings!! Alsoo, I have the Japanese collectors edition with the art book and such :]

Um remake lindo de um jogo clássico e incrível, valeu meu dinheirinho.

O remake me fez acreditar ainda mais no meu headcanon do Gary Transmasc

strikes a really interesting balance between goofy supernatural j-horror and the genuine mystique that comes from digging through a late artist's most eccentric work. was a little underwhelmed by the length on my first playthrough but this is definitely a very solid and gratifying experience

Historia muy linda, terror funcional, puzzles bastante divertidos, los finales algo difíciles de encontrar, pero siempre recordaré este juego por lo emotivo que llega a ser.

this ones the one on top of the rpgmaker games together with its just as beautiful sisters yume nikki and mad father.
i really enjoyed playing this again after a long time and forgot about a lot of stuff which made it a creepy and weird experience like i played the first time.
the worlds we go through are creative on another level, the storytelling is cute, soundtrack captures you. what else do you want? replayability is also granted as you can unlock several endings.
all my love goes out to garry. :*

Fun RPGmaker games with solid puzzles and really creative imagery, visuals in general are definitely the highlight here, it's super creative.
Story was also fun, but nothing I really think will stick with me, still though a good time all around.

Inspecting the paintings lets you discover some sparse details about the life of a painter, though I felt it could have gone more into some emotional dephts for him. Since in one book the painter mentioned wanting to leave his soul in his works, and the fact that the blond girl so worried about being left alone is the last painting he ever made and that being close to people ended up in him being sued (the different "lady" paintings based on a woman that wanted his inheritance), it seems that he felt alone through his life and after he died he wishes someone to be with him. Otherwise, the girl being so desperate for company may have been the artist's intention when painting her, wanting to make a creation he also could cling to. But none of this is ever directly addressed, so it's my speculation and could also just be the characterization of the girl herself and the artist just be nothing more than a guy making weird paintings.

If the point was to be something like that, anyone interested in the game should check out the third Pokemon movie, since it also follows the breakdown of a girl that feels alone and makes up a world of her own to feel like she's with someone else.

To Gsar: This remake adds some dialogue capable of being triggered between IB and the people she is being followed by, and some puzzles are redesigned to stop having some weird answers related to maths and instead follow a more interesting surreal atmosphere. The man who accompanies IB seems to have dialogue that fleshes him out a bit more implying he's from a poor family (after IB has a nightmare) though I didn't try talking to him as much in that scene in the original so it could also be in there. Otherwise, honestly, you don't miss out a lot between playing this one and the 2012 version.

it's the remake of my favourite rpgmaker game of all time, of course i gave it 5 stars!!!! it STILL rewires my brain
