L'Abbaye des Morts truly evokes an old school Commodore 64 or ZX Spectrum game. I found its style and setup to be interesting, and the game itself is decent. It's cool to get to explore this abbey and uncover its secrets, however it is frustrating that you have to completely start over the game once you run out of lives. I understand this fits with the old school aesthetic, but it would have been appreciated to have a save system or checkpoints rather than lives.
