One of the first DSiWare games that I wanted to play back when I first got my DSi. It was also the first Mario vs. Donkey Kong game that I've played. Looking back, this game is pretty good, but I would say that Mini-Land Mayhem! and Tipping Stars have stronger gameplay, aesthetics, and soundtrack!

A very fun little puzzle-platforming game for the cheap price it was available for on DSiware. Sometimes everything being on the touch screen gets a little but frustrating but the levels themselves are very well designed and rely on a mix of understanding the levels puzzles while also properly being able to time when you need to tap the screen. Its 10/10 compared to most DSiware games but 7/10 going by the standards of a full scale release.

Hola soy un juego de dsiware que simplifica mucho mas el juego original ahora no nos dices cuando podemos saltar y te jodes

Fun DSiWare game, good replayability with user levels. My favorites were the auto levels.

Harmless fun. The puzzles are cool, not too exciting though.

Many things happened in the year 2009: kids around the world were introduced to ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas through a Disney movie about spy guinea pigs, Stan Lee got his own holiday, Obama became president, Michael Jackson’s soul left this plane of existence, just to name a few.

and yet after all that… these Mini’s are STILL taking forever marching towards their goal. All I ask for in the next game is a fast-forward feature, and I’ll be a happy man!

I personally really love the Mario versus Donkey Kong series, it is a unique puzzle game, and I especially enjoyed this one because you were able to create your own levels. I also loved playing peoples online levels on the DSi back when that was available. This is also one of the first games I completed when I was a kid because it wasn’t too challenging, but fun enough to play. Also, I love the unique worlds and how they build on each other instead of placing everything in at once. I kind of wish that they would make one for the Switch.

I remember playing the demo for this game and thought at most that is what it is. A tech demo that really should have just been free considering the generic gameplay loop.

Had a ton of fun with the level editor, thoroughly enjoyed this as a kid.

Dare I say, this was my generation's Mario Maker.

Copy my MvsDK2 review and paste it here. Same opinion on the two games. Fun puzzles, just a bit repetitive when played for too long.

Had a lot of fun with this and the built-in level editor as a kid.

i think this is the closest i ever got to playing a mainline mario game. the minis were very cute

i played the story only to fool around with the stage creator

I’ll give it some credit for being a dsiware budget release but this is basically just the exact same game as the last game in this series

idk i think this is the one i played lol

I think the idea of this game is pretty cool but I think the execution of it, in the end, doesn't do that idea justice. It's just a cool idea, basically, and not a great game.

The level editor kept me hooked on this as a kid. Don't even wanna know how much time I spent in that thing... the gameplay itself is alright. It's just a puzzle game now compared to the first Mario vs. Donkey Kong but it's fun in it's own right. I do hope they go back to the old format at some point though

Review in progress:
A boring puzzle game.

I was addicted to this back in 2012. It doesn't have as much content as the other MvDK games, but it's one of the more unique ones cuz it's mechanics are more of a mix between March of the Minis and Mini Land Mayhem.

Its a fun puzzle game, with a create mode which me like. But not long after it feels like you've played all of the puzzles that matters.

Decent strategy game for short bursts.

It was fine; just a game that has been done better in later sequels. Pointless going back here.
