I’m about ready to be done with this boring fucking game. Despite this episode having some of the more entertaining and action-heavy moments, paced… admittedly better than it has been up until this point; it’s still a completely mind-numbing experience. None of the emotional beats land for me, I literally laughed when Reuben died, and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t intentional on Telltale’s part… but I mean, I honestly don’t know considering his dead body turned into a pork chop and then Jesse held it against his own face… like how the fuck am I not supposed to laugh at that. It. Just. Doesn’t. Work. The same goes for all of the dialogue scenes, I don’t care about any of the characters or their convoluted conflicts, so naturally they do nothing for me.

Another thing that bothered me was the really odd voice-work at the beginning, where Jesse’s tone doesn’t fit the scene at all; The Wither Storm is wreaking havoc all around him, but he’s speaking in his normal almost-whisper-like voice as if it was any other situation, nobody would be able to hear him! There’s no tangibility, no tension at all, you feel nothing; and it made it so apparent that almost every aspect of this game is amateurishly made. Also, they made a bridge out of fucking… sand, that pissed me off a lot more than it should’ve.

Cool armor and weapons though! Man, I wish shit like that was in the base game.

Still bad. Dialogue continues to get worse. The Far Lands part is just completely weird fanservice. I don’t think that was intentional for Minecraft Worlds to go fucking berserk when you go too far. Oh well.
