weird af i love this shit

Probably the best free-to-play Otome game to ever exist. Originally existing of 4 males and 1 female, you get 5 routes to choose from (later 2 more males), where it is divided again in normal mode (Zen, the model, Yoosung the gamer university student and Jaehee, the assistent of Jumin) and deep mode (Said Jumin, the CEO of a big company and 707 aka Luciel, a hacker, a meme, my husband). As mentioned, later the game would also have a DLC for 2 more characters named V (a blind photographer) and Saeran/Ray (uhm.. i kinda can't tell you about him tho hahah, thats a bit too deep into the story already)

The plot starts with a random person messaging you on a phone that was found. They urge you go to a certain adress to leave a message about said phone there. After we enter the appartment they told us to go to, the chat switches into a groupchat with the priorly mentioned 5 people present. After a bit of misstrust and back and forth, they get you to join their group called RFA. They tell you, they used to throw a party once a yearm but the person who used to organize this party passed away. But now you are here and its only 11 days away.. surely you can manage to arrange everything until then, right??

The game will give you chatlogs based on your irl time and after 4 days it will decide on a route based on who you talked to the most/who clicked with you the most. Depending on who you will get, the story will drastically differenciate. Not gonna tell you too much but i can say this much. From the original 5 routes, the route of 707 is the "true" route and the DLC routes will only make sense to you when you played his route sucessfully.

Played the route sucessfully? Correct, because over the course of day 5 to 10, you can have 3 different bad endings should you pick the wrong answers. Although this game is really cheerful at first, especially 707, those bad endings can even end in kidnapping or death, depending on the route you're playing.

All in all, it was really revolutionary when it released and i love all the characters very dearly, although i did not enjoy how they did the routes of the DLC characters, because in my opinion they deserved better than this.

i only played 2 routes and i think there's a level of irony that the one i had the most fun with was the one least tied to the overarching mint eye plot. i think jaehee and i need to get gay married

i'm a lesbian who's in love with a 2D man

I'm putting this here to give everyone psychic damage
Played this in middle school. I don't know what else to say other than that.

#1 anime boy hater and enemy

It's a really great otome game. Getting all the endings is a real pain in the butt though, as it makes you loose a lot on sleep. You need to get up at certain times to not miss the dialogue options, chattings, calls etc etc. Still, a great game.

Played religiously when it released, got Yoosung's route, I tried playing again a few times but the timed chats are not possible (for me) anymore. I still think the story was great and it was mind-blowing

the first time i played this i didnt sleep for like a week

ALORS LAAAAAAAAA me lancez pas jvais exploser ????? d'ailleurs j'ai pas fait toutes les routes un jour je finis entierement je me le promets.... luciel JE TAIME

waking up in the middle of the night to go talk to silly people on my phone is so healthy

This review is based on me... avoiding having to pay, so this review doesn't factor in pricing and paywalls.

This game is so neat. I genuinely love the concept, I love the art, I love the characters. The story is surprisingly dark for such an otherwise bright and fun game, and the twists and turns are engaging and interesting.

The translation is pretty good - it's a little goofy in places where certain jokes or figures of speech in Korean don't quite land the same in English - but there's nothing that doesn't make sense.

It's a time commitment for sure if you're playing it as intended; the game lasts for 11 real-life days, with chats triggering once every hour or two up to around 3AM, and unless you want to deprive yourself of sleep you will miss some. I don't play it this way because frankly I hate missing out on content, so I tend to run through routes all at once via my... evasion.

I'm still yet to play V and Saeran's routes, as well as all of the character-specific runs through of the DLC chapters, but from what I have completed:

Jaehee: My first route, and the one I'm most fond of. I love Jaehee - she's probably my favourite character from the game as a whole, and I think she's wildly underrated (I can't blame people, considering most of the people who play this are likely straight girls, but c'mon! At least for the content!). It's sweet, cozy, wholesome, and the least dark of all the routes; the main antagonist is literally capitalism. It's light on the romance and more implications and "gal-pal"ing in the main story thanks to censorship, but it's more explicitly romantic in the DLC episodes.
Yoosung: Yoosung is a sweet one, and the character I probably relate to most. I enjoyed his route by the end, but the first half of it can be pretty frustrating due to his repeated insistence on comparing you to Rika, calling you Rika, telling you he pictures you as looking like Rika, etc. Not exactly inducive to a good romance. He does get over it if you're on the right ending, though, which I was relieved by (that shit did feel pseudo-incestuous at times).
Zen: Zen is probably my least favourite of the main five characters, but I don't dislike him per se - I just find his habit of making everything about him and doing nothing but complaining in every single chat he's in exhausting (seriously, keep track of how many chat rooms he just comes into and complains in when you're not on his route). That said, his route was still sweet; he's very straight-forward and romantic, which is a nice change of pace from the more slow-burn options. The antagonist in his route pissed me off for very personal reasons, and she's pretty much cartoonishly evil, but I suppose there are people out there like that.
Jumin: My favourite of the Deep Story characters, but I'm not sure how I feel about his route itself. His bad endings can be pretty wack, and the first time I played through his route I was left with such an uncomfortable, cornered feeling - and that's with getting his good ending. It wasn't what I expected at all, and there were some truly questionable elements in it. I did eventually come to appreciate it for what it is, but if you have a history of any kind of abuse or non-consensual encounters etc. you should probably know what his romance entails before starting it.
Seven: This one is the fan-favourite, and I do see why, even though it doesn't quite click with me as much as it does for others. This is the most plot-heavy and relevant route, and there's a lot going on here; there's a reason most people say you should leave this one for last. I don't personally like the 'Seven is aware of your replays' theory (it makes me feel guilty!), but I suppose that's another reason to leave this one for last.

Favourite Male Character: Jumin
Favourite Female Character: Jaehee
First Character I Liked: Jaehee
Favourite Character Design: Jumin
Favourite OST: My Half is Unknown
Least Favourite Character: ECHO Girl

Placer culpable, como quiero a Seven que cuco que es.
Me arruinó el horario de sueño.

this game is foul never play it...that being said i have done almost every route in the game ijbol

okay, i played this game ages ago but im just now logging it because i realised i hadn't yet. this game is amazing. otome games were nothing new when this came out, but i truly think cheritz revolutionized the genre with this one. the real time chats to make you really feel like you're romancing these guys... the phone calls... the custom chat bubbles?!?! its so perfect. the story writing might not be the most well crafted thing ever, but the experience of playing this for the first time is fucking awesome. zen is the best, and jaehee is so wonderful. i come back to this game all the time and it never fails to make me happy.

mysmes to me will be a 2.5 to a 5 depending on the day but it will still be one of my favourite games ever. the fact that i can still feel things for these characters just like i did almost 10 years ago now is crazy and something not a lot of other games can accomplish. if it's not for you then that's fine lol

would be 5 stars if cheritz was not too cowardly to make a rika route

i got yoosungs route.. bro the amnt of sleep i lost to get all the chats TT

mid story. my friend got me to play it and i did jaehee's route then uninstalled the game. all the guys are boring or annoying and you have to be awake at absurd times to do some of the chats. jaehee is cool and the music is really good but that's all i like about this game.

also i forgot to add that having a gameplay mechanic that is intentionally designed to either a) impact your sleep schedule negatively or b) make you pay money is a horrendous design choice

fuck whatever i said last time my friend and i decided to play it again and try and get every major route done before it most likely shuts down and folks. it's a good game. it's a good game!!!!

i have only played zen and jaehee routes and everything else i absorbed elsewhere. genuinely such a fucking bizarre game but unfortunately thanks to its impact on my tweenage brain i will be forever chasing a better alternative that doesn't exist

i should be financially compensated for playing this game

nothing will beat messing up my sleep schedule and sneakily playing this game in class in 8th grade

having to wake up at 3 am to entertain a virtual anime korean cat man was insane
