It appears funny to me that Yuke's (known for developing professional wrestling games) once developed this masterpiece. It was an ok sim on PC which I spent my most time on. Probably had revamped my love for cats. PS2 version was far better but I was able to try it for only a short period. My rating is for what I remember from its PS2 version. PC would have been a 3 instead. Either way, I must pick up a boxed PS2 copy it seems, it must be preserved at all costs.
(Review copied from Petz Dogz 2 as I have played both and they're basically the same game)
Wish the Wii/PS2 version had a seperate listing because I feel like those 10 diehard fans would up the rating so fast and it's so different from every other version of this game. (Or any Petz game for that matter)
This game is my whole childhood and I will love it until the day I die. Currently working on a gijinka Ivlet cosplay and no that is not a joke.
(PS. I played the one on DS as a small kid too thinking it would be some perfect port of the PS2/Wii version but yea no the DS version sucks lol, it all goes downhill after the banger titlecard soundtrack)

This game definitely has a slightly higher quality than most shovel-ware, but its no Nintendogs. The only notable thing about it is there are obstacle courses to put your cats through which is cool, but its a bit of a tedious process to level up your cats to that point (which you do for some reason through a JRPG like stat system??). It wasn't interesting enough to keep me playing very long but its definitely not the worst DS game ever made.
As a side note, the performance in this game on the DS version is terrible, and so are the loading times.

Not sure how to review both the Wii and DS versions, but they are literally completely different games.
The DS version, a normal run-of-the mill virtual pet game about raising a kitten, gets a 2/5 from me. Perfectly serviceable and does what it says on the tin.
The Wii version is a fever-dreamy Zelda-style RPG about a magic hat that I thought I dreamed up for about a decade before I met someone else who had also played it. 4/5, solid simple RPG.
