they really tried to make something feel different than the standard pokemon and i really respect that especially since this game is just so much more expressive than usual. i would have liked it more but even trying to play this as a normal pokemon game is not even worth it, just run them down with the mouse.

It's fine:

remixes are great, some of the new touches to kanto are cool, game is too braindead easy even for pokemon, visually it looks pleasant and the proper pokemon sizing is cool but performance and loading times are subpar, jessie and james being in it is a plus, the rival is just gary but not good, uh its cute? idk this game is just kinda whatever to me personally not bad but not particularly fun or interesting either.

Deserviço a franquia.

Nota: 2,0/10 Horrível.

Still incredibly easy, but nice visuals and pokemon interaction. Yet another Kanto remake but I enjoyed my time with it.

Buen remake, muy raro su gameplay al principio pero me terminó agradando mucho.

Everytime I pick up this game i'm like "Yes this will be it, i'm going to finish the game."... And that never happens.
I usually get about half way (getting the badges) and my motivation runs out.

Visually its really pretty, the Pokemon all look great, the characters are just like from the original show.

The thing that kills it for me is how they changed the "capture" mechanic, and made it like Pokemon GO. Before you would battle the creature down before attempting to capture it.
Now you throw berries and Pokeballs at it in the hopes to nab the creature.. Maybe its just me, but it sucks. If i want to play pokemon GO i'll play Pokemon GO.

I'd still recommend this to any Pokemon fan, but if you are a "GenWunner" and want a "decent" remake true to the original games, go play Fire red or Leaf Green.

this is the definition of "it looks so cool but its so mid"

gostei, mas acho paia o sistema de captura

If you want to play Pokemon I don't think any entry will disappoint you. Very charming and in my opinion overhated. The catching mechanics are better than people give them credit for and the EXP wild Pokemon give actually provides incentive for you to complete the Pokedex. The mechanics being make simpler don't bother the gameplay that much. Also in my opinion the absolute best looking mainline Pokemon games.

beaucoup trop critiqué alors que très fun

Una forma diferente de jugar a Pokemon, no me enamoró pero es un buen juego y buen remake.

By far the most gorgeous pokemon game graphically

oh boy here i go kantoing again

First impression was that this is such a "nothing game". The gameplay is so barebones. With that said, I was a little surprised that i still wanted to come back and finish it. Evolving Mons and catching them all for the collectathon still rewards you with dopamine I guess.
Surprisingly a lot more engaging than Sword, which despite aiming relatively high felt extremely shallow and soulless. Maybe it's because of nostalgia that I enjoyed this entry a lot more? Maybe, I don't know.

Cool concept at the start, got boring after the second gym

Shiny hunting was fun in this game.

Fun game and gimmick but thats all it is.

Evolie ist besser, deshalb halben Stern weniger (bitte nicht ernst nehmen)

Foi uma boa revisitada em Kanto. gráficos bons e uma gameplay boa, mas é chato pra caramba o sistema de captura dos pokémon

Brought back my nostalgia but in a better way. I love the new combat style and the 3D aspect. It's really nice

Curiosities:
1. You no longer battle pokémon to death (unless you're battling against a trainer or a gym leader). If you want to level up your pokémon you need to either fight trainers or catch pokémons in the wild. So the new battle system consists mainly of catching pokémon (and you get combos too).

2. You get the chance of having one pokémon following you around. If it's big enough you can even mount it.

3. This time Pikachu will learn all the important TM such as fly, cut, surf, e.t.c. It's a strange add on but that doesn't mean it's not cool (He doesn't fly if that's what you're thinking but he uses balloons to do so).

[All of this applies to Let's Go Eevee as well]

Look, these games are for casuals coming from Pokemon Go looking to pick up a mainline Pokemon game for the first time - or for kids wanting to get into the series. For anyone else, these games don't have much to offer. The weird absence of abilities and the weird Kanto AU they present are odd to say the least, and frankly bug me. I for one hate Go's catching mechanics so an entire game built around just feels... lackluster. There's nothing here of value for Pokemon fans that know how the games should actually play, or have seen Kanto for the upteenth time already. And frankly, I'd even recommend FireRed over this game for newcomers to the series.

Not good, but if you wanna grab a Pokemon game for your kid, this one's a good starter. The artstyle is nice too, even if the models for humans remind me of Fisher-Price.

Score: 62

i am very mixed on this game personally. it is a good example of a twist on an older game, but not a great one. it is a very fun game with many interesting new features such as the pokemon go inspired catching method, pokemon in the overworld and the reintroduction of mega evolution keep this kanto game fresh and really fun, but it suffers from a lack of content outside the very linear story, no safari zone, almost no post game and a quite low difficulty level, also i wish i could evolve my pikachu. this is a very good game though

my first ever switch pokemon game. The graphics and mechanics are GORGEOUS. Too bad it's a let's go game and all you can do is catch and not battle the wild mons at all. The trainer battles are very limited in the post games and this is more towards really little children. Not bad but not good either.
