Space Harrier is a fast-paced third-person arcade shooter taking place in a checkerboard land with random shit in it

I remember playing this for the first time when I checked out the You Arcade in the game Shenmue, and since I have the SEGA AGES version, I was curious about reaching the endpoint of the game, but after abusing the save states repeatedly since I'm limited to three continues, I don't think it was worth it

As I said earlier, the game is fast-paced, but maybe a bit too fast for my liking. Avoiding obstacles and shooting at enemies can be a hassle with the increased speed in the later levels

Space Harrier is a fine third-person rail shooter game, but there really isn't much variety when it comes to stages and enemies. If you want to play this, I recommend picking up the SEGA AGES version. There you'll have the original arcade experience with some modern features added. I say play as far as you can go, but don't bother reaching the endpoint, it's not worth it

should have had an option for me to play the takenobu mitsuyoshi version of the theme song
