Muito ruinzinho e limitado. É como se o clickjogos estivesse fazendo jogos pra nova geração.

Very fun i love snowboarding and good customization

Fun escape. Put your favorite playlist on and just cruise

possibly the most chill game to ever release

You can almost hear the the exact point in which the developers said to themselves "Alright this is good enough for gamepass, we can stop here".

I loved this take on snowboarding controls. Once you get over the initial learning curve it feels way better than Steep and Riders Republic.

The rest gets kind of repetitive and there some jankyness (I repeatedly reset missions at the wrong time and had to reset the whole game).

I didn't really see it coming, but the credits just came up, so I guess I finished Shredders.

I've seen snowboarders talk about how much they like this, so I assume there's a degree of authenticity that I'm numb to. To me, it's kind of a nothing game. Aggressively forgettable. A chill out game. Game Pass fodder. Forza Horizon.

I guess there's some distinction between snowboarding and skateboarding where I can play a (reportedly) very good snowboarding game and not think much of it, but really dig into trash like Street Skater or 720. Is it flip tricks? I think that's part of it, but also the very nature of skateboarding. Snowboarding doesn't exist without sliding downhill. In skateboarding, you can go in any direction. It lends itself to more creative expression, and its best representations in videogames always have a bit of a 3D platformer angle to them. Snowboarding's just going with the flow.

Shredders isn't bad. You do big jumps. You never feel too involved with the outcome. I couldn't reliably predict how fast I'd spin in a jump, or figure out how I'd have to tilt the right stick for specific grabs. It's all kind of passive. That's fine. It never felt terribly expressive to me.

There is a campaign of missions, and they vary from following another snowboarder through cluttered environments to skitching (do snowboarders call it that?) on the back of a snowmobile and racing over the wider environment. It's rarely strict on how you complete objectives, unless you want the very best results. There's cutscenes, and sometimes it takes a few seconds before you're allowed to skip them, and you end up seeing some of the most atrocious shit you've seen in your life.

Otherwise, you can just free roam. It's always downhill though, so you're basically just riding through the same obstacles over and over again.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this. Especially because most folk who have any interest will just play it on Game Pass. Do that.

I want to cut Shredders some slack for being made by a small team, but it's just not that good; the movement feels stiff, the voice acting is awful and it's a game that shines a light on just how important UI is (and how easily it can ruin the overall experience).

Forgot to log this when I played it, so I wanted to do it now before I forget about it completely.

I'm a little torn on this. On one hand, it genuinely has some really great controls and snowboarding mechanics, but on the other, it is a little rough with a pretty cringe and mildly annoying campaign. It terms of simply riding around, carving the slopes, grinding rails and 720 double corking off rooftops - it's pretty damn enjoyable. Just sucks that you have to go through some nonsense before you can really get to that point.

I covered this game as part of my coverage of the Xbox Game Pass for April 2022

Evoking memories of SSX and Amped.

Shredders is a new snowboarding game by a small team, but with an ambitious large mountain and gameplay. Most of the time Shredders an amazing snowboarding game where you’re riding down the mountain, and other times it’s a little janky with a lot of b-tier quality at times. A perfect example is the cameos. This game has famous snowboarders who voiced characters. But every character is completely covered up and a few of the line reads are exceptionally flat.

Yet at the core of Shredders is the snowboarding and in that area Shredders is amazing, it might have issues with the presentation, and explaining its concepts but when you pull off an amazing trick, you feel so accomplished. Almost every mission has at least one or two solid goals you’ll be challenged by, and even when you cheese the system, you still feel a huge sense of accomplishment from your lines and the moves you’ve pulled off.

Pick this up if you’re interested in extreme sports. This heavily reminds me of that feeling of SSX early on but it is far more realistic than that series, but I kind of want to see what this pair of teams who worked on this can do with a second title. I still heavily enjoyed myself with this one, and love the experience of exploring the mountain and tackling all the different challenges. I will also say this game did make me laugh a few times, which is a great sign that they’re not taking themselves too seriously.

Now listen here you son of a king - if you can deal with the bizarre dialogue (spoiler: press literally any button to skip if you're that bothered) and overlook the occasional bug like supermanning off the face of the Earth for no reason then you'll find a lot to love here when you unlock the full mountain range and just mess about nailing the perfect line and boring your mates with your replays.

It's basically Skater XL in the cold. You can move the sun around in the sky like some eldritch god. It's great.

Is a decent snowboarding simulator, not a lot on the market, the only problem is the lack of a more crazy and faster arcade mode, but is good enough if you like the sport irl.

Just play any other snowboarding game, 1080 on the N64 looks and plays better than this. I couldn't go an hour before dumping this.

- broken mission
- annoying controls
- the drone is cool and very useful for collectible hunting
- nice branded items
- better snowboarding games exist

looking at youtube videos it looks pretty fun but its just too sim like i feel, if you like snowboarding youll probably like it but im more of a ski guy. game's pretty chill though

It's okay. Decent little time-waster aided by the Game Pass release, but otherwise, not nearly as memorable or exciting as it could've been.

Only played this for an hour, but it's definitely not for me. The gameplay was solid but I just knew I wouldn't get invested in this.

A perfectly satisfactory indie snowboarding game. I was never amazed by Shredders, but I did enjoy my time with it on Game Pass.

The controls are not the most intuitive and the physics lean more toward realism, but the game plays well enough. The weak point is the maps, which feel a bit generic compared to other modern extreme sports games.

The writing and voice acting is quite bad, and you'll probably have a better time once you start skipping the cutscenes and go straight to the gameplay.

Decent snowboarding sandbox and quite a suprisingly entertaining mission mode.

A decent snowboarding game that just didn't quite vibe with me.

It feels like the foundations of what could be a solid snowboard franchise but the controls were something I just couldn't wrap my head around completely and there just wasn't enough interesting variety to keep me interested in trying to get better.

The music is quite nice and helps put you in the right vibe for what you'd want from a snowboarding game but the lacking game play just eventually pushes those good vibes out the way.

The game does feature some boarder customizations but your character is more avatar than anything, sporting no face whatsoever using goggles, a hat and other gear to hide where the face should be. The clothing though is all so bare bones that the clear generic NPC avatar you are controlling sticks out even further.

There are other characters and what seems like a semblance of a story or a point to the characters and what you're doing but it too is so bland and generic that I was quickly skipping these cutscenes rather early into my play through.

Overall, Shredders might vibe with you if you're looking for a more realistic snowboard game. It's on game pass as of Sep. 2022 so if you are looking for some time to kill before bed or something, maybe give the game a shot. Hopefully the game can eventually get a sequel, there is an interesting core in this game in a market that isn't exactly seeing a ton of activity in it.

Some great mechanics, graphics, soundtrack and map, brought down by an awful story and cringe voice acting.

it's alright, and the visuals are great, but the mechanics really didn't click with me. i think skate ruined this one for me

More accurate style sim, probably won't invest much time in this. Looks fine and plays well

Shredders is unpolished, features snowboarders attempting to do voice acting, and is generally a lot of fun. Once I wrapped my mind around the controls, I found it really satisfying to make my way down the small slices of mountain the game presents to you. I wish it opened up more areas from the start, and behaved more like a sandbox, but Shredders has been more than worth the time I've put into it.

A história é horrível e o jogo é meio repetitivo mas é muito divertido de controlar e foi ótimo pra passar o tempo
