Absolutely the best way to play Sonic 2. Even better with the Max Control mod.

Aside from some snags in the second half, Sonic 2 improves on Sonic 1 and then some. This must-play classic has been enhanced and plays better than ever.

I like Sonic 1 but oh my god it is not a good game. This port makes it actually playable. Sonic 2 however, is really good and now it's in widescreen and on PC. That's enough for me to recommend this to anyone.

The absolute best way to play Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2. Increased frame rate and quality of life improvements + mod support. Some of the greatest platformers of all time got even better.

Of course, it's still Sonic 1, so it has inherent problems that a port of this nature can't quite fix, but this version makes it much easier and smoother to play.
