While it boasts some nice 3D visuals for the period, it's still an on rails shooter that gets pretty dull to play after the initial novelty wears off. You can only fly past the big starship on a set path so many times before it becomes trite.

Even if the game is... rather dated in some aspects, it's still a rail shooter definitely worth playing, and represents some of Namco's absolute best in the 90's.

Considering the year it was released this is an incredible technical achievement and makes me wonder why so little people have brought it up anywhere.
