I have officially decided to drop this game because "completion" is a terrible, terrible grind I wouldn't wish on anyone. this game has a lot of cool stuff and offers some reasons to keep playing if you hate that games like this often feel like you're done with 'em once you've chosen someone to marry... but it's all so incredibly grindy and it takes multiple years in the game to unlock the different farm animals. there is a very large variety of stuff to grow... but annoyingly, you cannot grow it all on your own farm. everything grows faster on the special fields, this makes a difference with the stuff that takes more time, like wheat. and rice, lotus roots, and wasabi have to be grown in the paddy. sure you don't really need to grow them, but still! it's still goofy that you can't unless you get the special field to do it!
ultimately, if you don't mind procedural unlocks and like to play these games for a very long time, this one will be great for you.

i dont think i got married / got super far but i liked it a lot!!! was so excited when it first released
I married Fritz, realized I did not like him at all and restarted the game. Never picked it up again.
A lot of great ideas that plague the game with some creep issues. You get to a point where you have total control over everything and then you hit a "now what?" issue. The tutorial is also needlessly long and bothersome.
Better than what Natsume has turned "Harvest Moon" into, but still boring enough to the point that I dropped it before finishing year 1.
Not a good-looking 3DS game. I didn't play for long because the visuals put me off. I'd rather have 2D over half-assed 3D. Marvelous Games is up there with GameFreak on my shitty developer list.
really solid bokumono game. the characters and town are very distinct, loved the music and land betting gameplay too. unfortunately money in this game seems pretty hard to come by (golden flax method ftw) and materials are insanely grindy??? i was literally not able to have twins because it is impossible to get rarer materials in this game without insane save-scumming. this would be a 4.5 for me if the rates weren't extremely low. married fritz the love of my life

Beautiful game! perfect soundtrack to this day I'm struggling to choose who to marry! Agate? or Licorice? who knows Elise? there are so many!! the soundtrack of this game is very remarkable even if its speed is enormous compared to previous games, several new animals to have new crops! of course there are special items from the Super Mario Franchise!
i kept abandoning this game when i was a kid but i recently picked it up again and have like 40 hours on it because farming addiction.
i guess this game just isn't my thing. i got bored really quickly.
