Quite possibly one of my most anticipated fangames of all time. The last demo for this came out recently and I had plenty of fun with it.
Midas Machine has had a very strange development history, especially for a fangame. It's been in development for over a decade by this point (was announced in 2008), but was placed on an indefinite hiatus after contact with the creators was lost (busy with real life). Supposedly, the game was near completion when it was abandoned.
A bit of time passes and the Mario Flashback creator says he's going to finish the game for the developers. Devs give their blessing and the game is seemingly close to being released in its entirety.
It's an interesting comeback story. Enjoyed the last demo from earlier this year and am really anticipating the final release after following the development for almost 7 years now.
