It was a kinda interesting side story that takes place during Yuuji's past when he's being trained by Asako. Very short though. Basically just read if you want to see more of Asako and/or little-Yuuji training.

I first saw the anime a few years back, and then, after finding the accompanying Visual Novels for sale on Steam, I decided to give them a go. To me, it was a plus that the game puts a premium on story and character growth, making it so that fans of the anime as well as newcomers may get invested in the story and its protagonists. The game's decent images and sound helped to create a more immersive experience. Although the story's inexplicable leaps from one scene to the next occasionally threw me off, I believe fans of the visual novel genre will like The Afterglow of Grisaia since it is well-executed and entertaining.
