was sorta fun for a while back in the day but the mechanics are cheap and feel like they only sometimes work (not in an intentional way)

that being said i do have some fond memories of this 2015-2016. something id be willing to revisit

Chato. Na época que vi no Youtube em 2014 era mais legal.

why does hot chocolate murder people

This is a classic game that will always hold a place in my heart. Originally getting it on PS4 this game has followed me around for years. Only now in 2022 did I finally finish the game and complete the final mission.

In replaying the game, I found that the first 3 prisons were great and I really enjoyed them. They offer the most freedom in ways to escape which is great and they aren't too difficult to do especially without a guide.

However in the next prisons weren't great, they get extremely specific in how you must escape. Good luck on doing them without a guide. The game also slowly becomes more and more of a grind. Once the nostalgia wore off I was having less and less fun.

It's still a great achievement to finish the game despite this however. The game-play mechanics are nice and each prison feels unique. The music is also amazing.

After 24.4 hours, I feel kinda sick of the game and I doubt I'll be playing it again this decade.

You probably won't be wanting the DLC after completing the main game and the Steam Workshop is filled with horseshit boring prisons. However, it can be fun to mess around in the level editor for an hour.

Compared with the second game. The second game is multiplayer and has a lot more features and prisons. However, the Escapists 2 is a lot easier in fact it feels too easy compared to this game. This game is brutal, too brutal.

Overall. This is a unique experience even if you've played the Escapists 2. You'll enjoy this game, especially if you like puzzle games. I definitely recommend playing the first 3 prisons without a guide, however you'll be shooting yourself in the skull if you try to play the last 3 without a guide (however it does become a grind at that point).
Overall 7/10 w/ nostalgia and 5/10 w/o it.

O jogo é bom, diferente, porém tem que ter uma certa dedicação pra conseguir cumprir as fases.

Played this a ton on the phone. Was definitely a game that I enjoyed, for the type of the game it was. At least for your first time playing, an escape attempt was always nerve wrecking.

Endless fun, endless puzzles, simple and elegant

The game SHOULD be good, but it fails.
If you're not a freakin' genius, this game won't have anything for you.

A game I much prefer to watch than play. This game has a LOT of downtime where you're just waiting for days to pass and get the one item you need to randomly spawn in a desk or be sold by an inmate.

first prison is fun after that it's just lame

After you play the second game, there is literally zero reason to play this one. This game just aged horribly and the sequel fixes everything about it plus is multiplayer.

You might have fun for like, an hour. But it gets stale fast. It touts creativity in methods but, theres a pretty rigid set of rules.

Es muy bueno al principio pero despues de la cuarta carcel lo empezas a notar monotono y los dlc's son buenos la mitad nomas

Bought it on release, was fun then got boring after

It was a pretty fun game to play but it got hard to figure out the different ways to escape different prisons and I eventually got bored of it.

Haven't played in a while because of the escapists two (which is a better game in every way) but this game is still very fun.

I think i mistook this for prison architect. I need to try it out one day

Aged poorly and terrible graphics

Jak Mandzio grał było fajne, ale jak już kupiłem to wieje nudą wchuj

andy dufresne would fucking hate how i'd play this game
