It's not terrible but it's caught between the Warhammer games and Three Kingdoms. The trade and resource system is new and good. The battles aren't always the most fun. Should not be anyone's first Total War.

Played this game a little; it reminds me a bit of Heroes of Might and Magic III crossed with a 4x strategy game like Galactic Civilizations (or I guess Civilization, but I haven't played it). Will probably come back to it.

I really like to focus on a smaller area in the campaign map, but I still just don't like modern total war tactical battles.

this game should be killed and dragged around the walls of the city of troy 7 times

A focused smaller Total War game that presents the Trojan war in a neat and well characterized way. It does ask the question of how enjoyable Total War is without a lot of the scope and frills modern titles offer however, so maybe not worth checking out if you haven't exhausted titles like Warhammer or Three Kingdoms

El juego no esta mal, aunque es flojillo respecto a otros total war

I like this way better then the Warhammer TWs for some reason.
The battle maps are way more colorful and interesting.
I didn't like playing Achilles as his mood swings felt like arbitrary punishments.

Playing as Odysseus and auto-resolving battles is fun!

The game has a screen flickering issue on my PC.

An attempt at being a jack of all trades title, but ultimately unsatisfactory. Beautiful map, colorful for a historical title.

Genuinely, CA needs to bring actual naval combat back I don't care if they thought it sucked it is insane to make a map with this much water and then its all land battles only and then your land battles aren't even very good

It's clear that a lot of good work has been put into this. From the models to the descriptions of each skill for each character, it shows how much research they put into it. However, I came in expecting to be immersed in the illiad, but got the same game that CA has been making for the past 11 years. I'm sorry, but I don't find bonuses to army upkeep to be the most compelling storytelling medium.
