Sights & Sounds
- Visually, it's not much to look at. Although the character portrait designs and color choices are nice, the pixel art of the environments and characters is sorta generic
- The music is pretty decent. Again, sorta generic little chiptunes, but still nice
Story & Vibes
- Given that it's a short game, the story is a quick run through. In a nutshell, your ship is shot down as you're pursuing the game's villain. After crash landing, you need to find a part to fix your ship as well as some (optional) upgrades to make it stronger
- Not much going on vibe-wise. It's a relatively chill little puzzle platformer
Playability & Replayability
- The game largely plays as a puzzle platformer with a focus on exploration
- You just run through the environments solving jumping puzzles. Paying close attention to the room layout and small details within each screen may yield additional upgrades for your ship, which make the final boss easier
- I might be back in the future to replay and nab some more achievements. It's a fun, quick game
Overall Impressions & Performance
- Being such an inexpensive game, it's really hard to get too upset about the slightly generic design and gameplay. It's well worth the price of admission
- Ran perfectly fine on the Steam Deck after switching from Proton Experimental -> 8.02
Final Verdict
- 6/10. It's a competently-made puzzle platformer at an extremely good value. If you're craving a platformer but don't have much time, this is an easy game to recommend

2014 Replay Backlog Challenge
Short and sweet little puzzle platformer inspired by metroid. The main gimmick is based on a teleportation gun that you use to progress through the game. The puzzles were well designed with interesting gimmicks and i found the overall difficulty to not be as challenging.
There's isn't much to talk about this game. The pixel art and music is alright and the plot is a simple story of you crash landing on an alien planet and having to get find parts so that you can repair your ship and defeat Grigori, the main villain who you've been chasing throughout the game.
The exploration part of this game is very limited, the only parts you can find are extra parts that you can use to upgrade your ship for the final boss.
Overall, I enjoyed my time with this, an easy recommendation if you want a short game to play.

This is a cool Metroid-style puzzle-platformer.
It has basically one mechanic, a gun that teleports your character to whatever it hits. Out There Somewhere is very short and explores its mechanics well without overstaying its welcome.
The pixel art is stylish and the opening and ending cutscenes are anime in the style of Robotech, which is cute and cheesy.
This game is definitely worth giving a try!

Venturing on an alien planet following a losing space fight, you take upon your mission to fix up your starship and intercept Grigori, the enemy commander. This game has neat puzzle mechanics revolving your teleport gun, which takes some planning to pass through the obstacles.
It's pretty short with barely 2 hours to beat it yet there are hidden objects and secrets that allow you to explore the game further to improve your equipment or completing achievements. The soundtrack is well written; I could sit around doing something else for a long while and still not feel like the music wears old.
