pretty polished combination of the two franchises but this has to be by far layton at its dumbest plotwise

The twist is not only nonsensical but way too similar to one of the Layton games. Not a fan of how they combined Ace Attorney and Layton gameplay, it kinda feels like worst of both worlds where the puzzle solving and trials are equally half assed. Strongly dislike the story. I gave it a 2/5 purely for the music and presentation which are both excellent but everything else sucks.

Setting aside the fact that the story in this game has more holes than swiss cheese, it is one of my favorite games of all time.

The art, music, and world of this game is filled with a ridiculous amount of charm and is a testament to the strength of the team assembled by Level 5 and Capcom for this collaboration.

La verdadera magia fueron los amigos que hicimos por el camino

A weird mashup of game genres that should not work, but somehow does!

The highly anticipated crossover between Professor Layton and Ace Attorney is, to put it nicely, a piss-poor Professor Layton game and an incredibly dull and drawn-out Ace Attorney game.

Despite some genuinely compelling spins on the style of both games, it's ultimately the plot and structure rather than the gameplay that sours the experience. A plot as long and convoluted as an Ace Attorney game with the awful contrivances and twists of a Professor Layton game? Pass.
