Finally got around to playing this, was not disappointed. Luigi is back with another entry in his unique franchise of kid friendly scares and humor.
The game is arguably the most gorgeous game on the switch and somehow ran smooth the entire time until before the final boss fight. The music is good, the gameplay is fun, and the atmosphere is incredible what more could you want.
Actually I can answer that, because the game suffers with its characters, level design, and controls. Compared to the first game the bosses in this game are completely forgettable outside of the cat, director, and hotel manager, the controls are frustrating at times with how the plunger and flashlight features just doesn't hit their target, the level design is really hit or miss with fixed cameras making some sections rage inducing, and for me Luigi's voice sounds extremely off but as I haven't played many Mario games since the GameCube era this could just be his new voice and I'm not aware of it so I won't hold it against them.
I still think this is a really fun game and highly recommend it if you want a fun time, and it has coop making it a fun adventure to play with your family or friends!
I didn't touch the multiplayer portion of this game so I'm not counting that in my score.

On Christmas of 2015, I got a present that changed my life. I got my first ever videogame console; a 3DS XL, and Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon. I played the game and loved it, it just clicked for me. It helped me make friends, develop as a person, it was something I could always fall back on when feeling bad.

When booting up my switch in September of 2018, I saw a notification in the news section on the left "Luigis Mansion 3 (working title)" had been revealed. I screamed so loudly in excitement that I lost my voice for 3 days. The reveal trailer was pretty short, but it showed enough to get me extremely excited. Luigi was back, and he looked better than ever! In the following year I obsessively stalked nintendo's youtube channel eager for more news about this game, and when they dropped an overview trailer during E3, my hype grew even more! This was my most anticipated game of all tame. I was lucky enough to go to Gamescom in Germany in August of 2019. It was an experience I'll never forget, Huge areas and tons of people that loved games, and were just as excited as I was. When me and the friend that invited me finally got to the Nintendo section, there it was, Luigi's Mansion 3!!! I was so excited, I was prepared to spend the entire rest of the day in line to try it out. But my friend and his dad didn't want to, and I was still too young to be out on my own, especially in a country whose language I don't even speak. So they didn't let me play. I was fuming. When halloween finally rolled around, I was stoked. Me and my best friend who I always used to play Dark Moon with held a small halloween party. I was dressed as Luigi with the Poltergust 5000, and he was Mario in a painting. We went trick or treating, and got a load of candy. Then we went back to my house, and started playing. We played all night long, and had already finished the game the next morning, but we'll never forget this magical experience. I truly think there will be no game that can ever get me as hyped as this one did, and the memories I have with it make this one of my all-time favorites.

Safe to say, I might be a tiny bit biased.

Sure, this game has less ghost than the two games before it.
Sure, the atmosphere isn't as good as the first game.
Sure, the plot is kinda stupid.
But the personality OOZES from this game.
The mechanics and gameplay is the best yet.
The abolishment of the mission structure was a really good choice.
The animations are buttery smooth.
The Hotel is filled with interesting puzzles and varied locales.
The scarescraper is better than ever.
The party mode is really fun.
The visuals literally look like a PIXAR MOVIE.

You should give this game a shot, it's really good.

one of the best looking games on the switch imo. fun for a while but got a lil bored of it.

A very mechanically satisfying and beautiful game, but the overall design and money system didn't really inspire me to 100% it and I mostly wanted it to be over by the end.

Not that LM was the scariest game ever, but LM3 drops any feeling of being remotely spooky themed after the first few floors. Probably best enjoyed co-op.

A partir de um certo ponto do jogo ele deixa de ser divertido e se torna oneroso, cansativo e tediante.

charming and a lot better than 2, my favorite part was when they brought mario back and hes this sunshine in this gloomy ass tower. really charming how he hops around and you get to experience what its like being in the backseat of a mario adventure. dont know why it was so cool to me but something about a familiar face and luigi hugging him was heartwarming. fun gameplay very simple story but thoroughly enjoyable. if you have a little brother this is the game to hop on

Played co-op with my girlfriend. A really fun, cute experience. The gameplay has improved a lot compared to the original and the atmosphere of the haunted hotel is great. Collecting gems is addicting and every new floor is a new adventure. Worth it!

I still would rather have a Luigi's Mansion game that takes place inside a mansion like the first one, and I liked Nintendo's more humanlike ghosts (the "special ghosts" that are listed with descriptions) over the more goofy simple ones that Next Level Games did.

But I love the online multiplayer, and used to keep coming back to it. That's what ultimately made the game for me. Roguelike multiplayer Luigi's Mansion!

Best in the trilogy for sure

such a step up from 2 i loved exploring the hotel and wondering what was going to be at the next floor. it kind of makes me wonder what they're gonna do for luigi's mansion 4 maybe a haunted amusement park who knows.
