The game started out strong but about halfway through, some combos were so powerful as to trivialize most of the combat. Mostly talking Glitter + Starburst with Rabbid Mario, could wipe out half a battlefield turn 1. Still enjoyed the game overall but ended up sticking with Rabbid Mario, Peach and Luigi the entire game. I feel like I missed out trying other combos but never felt a desire to switch it up for each battle like I did in the first game.

I usually like to 100% a game if I can, I got this one to 93% and called it good. It did not feel worth my time to get that last bit of content out of this one. Happy I played it, happy I’m done with it.

I don't share the sentiment with people that say that this one is way worse than the first game. I definitely think this one feels like a stepdown in some areas, but in others, I kinda prefer it over the first game.

I didn't mind moving on a grid in the first game, but I do enjoy the free movement this game gives you within your character's area. I also really like the sparks and the variety they bring to each battle!

Sure, they got rid of Rabbid Yoshi and made some characters like Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Luigi feel kinda useless, but hey, at least we got Bowser and Rabbid Rosalina! Seriously, those two are a game changer, you kinda don't want anyone else on your team once you unlock them....Which is...Not that good? but eh.

I also appreciate that they allow you to play with any character now and your team doesn't necessarily need to have Mario anymore. Plus, they also got rid of the turn limit per battle from the first game, in order to get the maximun amount of coins.

I liked this little challenge in the first game, don't get me wrong, but it was getting pretty stressful to have to clear every battle in the least amount of turns every single time just to get the max score (Sure, it was optional, but not doing it would put you in a disadvantage). Here, the game just allows you to take your time, so if you want to just mess around for three turns and do nothing while one of your abilities reloads, you can just do that!

What else uuUUUhhhH...Oh yeah, I like the voice acting! It does sound a bit weird to hear the Rabbids actually speak and Beep-O's voice takes a bit to get used to, but overall, I like this! It definitely helps these specific Rabbids feel distinct from all the rest, since now they have some more personality; Rabbid Peach for example, feels more like a real character instead of just a Rabbid with a blonde wig.

In terms of cons, I will admit that I don't like that battles now take place in random floating islands, instead of actually taking place in battle grounds implemented in the overworld itself. That element made the first game feel more like you were actually exploring the kingdom, instead of just jumping from random fight to random fight.

I can say the same for the planets honestly; I don't really care for any of these all that much, and most of them feel pretty disconnected from the Mario universe. I still hate the fact that they got rid of Rabbid Yoshi, or that there are no other characters like Bwario and Bwaluigi in this one, or the fact that Bowser shows up but Bowser JR is nowhere to be found...Considering in the first game, Bowser JR was so important to the plot...

I guess they are trying to do their own thing now and disconnect from the Mario world a bit...But I still think some more of that fanservice would've been nice, since that is one of the things that made the first game so much fun.

Anyway, this review is too long. Game great, buy game so we can get game three in game series......Unlikely since this one sold poorly apparently....And Ubisoft sinks faster and faster each day............................................ᵇᵘᵗ ᶦ ᶜᵃⁿ ᵈʳᵉᵃᵐ
