The premise of the game is that you're a detective trying to figure out why all these other detectives are dying in this building. Simple enough. For the most part it's a pretty silly game about Jeff the Killer, lots of typos and a story which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's pretty enjoyable for the first half of the game, but once Jeff is actually roaming around it gets pretty obnoxious.

The first time you meet Jeff is this really weird scene where you're locked into place but he isn't so he's wandering around you, and being able to escape is essentially a roll of the dice. Afterwards he has a pretty high chance of randomly entering the room you're in, so you have to drop everything to hide somewhere. The chase theme is the same as Ao Oni and I can't help but compare the two games. Where in Ao Oni you have a variety of ways to escape the Oni, including just walking a long distance until he fucks off, this game you HAVE to go into a closet. It's not really difficult to do or anything its just tedious and boring.

I think the game is at its best when its a silly detective story where you're looking at shit and solving simple puzzles. I would've enjoyed myself a lot more if the Jeff encounters were purely scripted (and a bit better constructed, unlike the first encounter.)

Sadly I don't think the developer has made any other games, this is it.
