After putting off SOTN for years, due to it not clicking with me at first, I'm so happy to say that after revisiting and finishing the game, it's peak. Exploring the castle just gets more and more fun as you gain more weapons and abilities, and backtracking to areas once you feel prepared and taking down whatever obstacle was in your way felt so satisfying and rewarding, I love how much side content there was too, this is the first time I've played a game where it felt GOOD to get lost. The combat was fun, and for the most part enemy design was great (except for the BlueVenusWeed and any flea enemies I HATED those) The music is iconic and while there isn't too much dialogue, the cast was still memorable and enjoyable :)) will definitely be checking out more games in the series after this, glad I gave it another chance.
