Samurai Shodown on the SNES is a beautiful and brutal classic fighter. Its focus on heavy hits and disarming your opponent leads to tense, slow-paced duels that feel distinctly different from other games of the era. It boasts gorgeous visuals, memorable characters, and music that still gets stuck in my head. That said, the difficulty is absolutely punishing, and the small roster means you'll likely master your favorite characters quickly.
