Why does this jackass game have so much skateboarding in it?

Gameplay peak of the series, shame about the Bam of it all

THUG 2 just wasn't as fun or memorable as the first from a year prior.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 ditches the focused seriousness of its predecessor for a zany, over-the-top skateboarding adventure. The 'World Destruction Tour' story mode sends you globe-trotting with Bam Margera's crew, causing mayhem and completing wacky objectives alongside traditional skateboarding challenges. Customization options explode, letting you create your own skater, tricks, and even skate parks. While the shift in tone might not appeal to everyone, THUG2 delivers ridiculous fun, an abundance of content, and that addictive, combo-driven Tony Hawk's gameplay that keeps you coming back for more.
