I want to tell you a story. I remember in 2010 during the FIFA World Cup (I'm South African btw) my dad and I went to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to watch a world cup match (I don't remember what match it actually was) but I remember having the time of my life and I vividly remember my smiling along with me as we celebrated when a goal was scored. I also remember having those DVD FIFA World Cup documentaries of other FIFA World Cups (I had the 1970's Mexico Edition, the 2002 South Korea/Japan Edition and the 2006 Germany Edition) and I would rewatch them over and over again for hours on end. These moments helped me grow a deep personal love for the game of football.
To me personally, This game was a childhood classic. It was my first introduction to the PES series (and to sports video games as a whole if I remember correctly) and it became one of my favorite games of all time. The cover art of Messi and Torres alone gives me a great amount of nostalgia.
I just loved being able to customize stuff like an entire team to my personal liking, it gave PES a degree of personalization that EA's FIFA series just will never provide and that why I've always been a PES guy rather than a FIFA guy myself.
