Really good game. Huge upgrade from sonic 1.
Sonic Origins really does a lot of favours for the older Sonic games, as the quality of life changes make the experiences so much funner. Hidden Palace Zone is a fun secret area, the bonus stages are way smoother, and I didn't expect to come out of this game saying I actually found the last 3 zones of the game fun, whereas before I thought Metropolis Zone was one of the worst in the series and couldn't stand it. I'm also glad to say I've finally beaten the final boss of this game without a save state during it.
Easily the worst special stages, they're trial and error memorization hell.

I played a lot in my childhood, and a lot more in my cellphone
A lot more refined than the first game and CD. The level design is vastly improved. This game overall is a lot more fun. There’s some frustrating moments, but the good greatly outweighs any negatives.
Extremely fun game! If you play it i do highly recommend against getting the chaos emeralds as i did not enjoy those stages at all
