At first glance, this game is pretty shonky. But then you realise: it's actually epic. Amazing lore, creative boss battles, wild music. And to think, I was almost driven away by the mc's levitating boobs (just watch a cutscene to see what I mean - that is not how those work!)

I remember being stuck and didn't know where to go. I did have the option to fight two bosses but i got my ass kicked. i have this game on steam and plan to replay.

I stopped when the sex creep cringe book sung a Reading Rainbow parody

The characters & story-telling: 7.8/10
It is not directly told but more indirectly told via lore (which i like).

Camera control: 2.8/10
The automatic camera control was not that good and changing the camera manually felt awkward yet still tolerable:

Battle: 4.5/10
The combat was similar to e.g. nier / Bayonetta, however, it did not flow as well, with e.g. long start-up lag for certain special attacks, and some recovery lag after being hit.
The absolute worst enemy attack is long-distance attacks as the projectile speed was fast and often short intervals before the next attack came.
Lastly, most bosses were quite painful to defeat as there was almost no animation indicating if the boss's attack pattern would change, with e.g. boss "Jonathan Kappel" being invincible at certain times if you used the wrong character, which I only won due to immediately switching characters if my attack were blocked.

Puzzles: 3.5/10
There were some puzzle elements in the game, which were mostly fine personally, but I can definitely see places where others could struggle a lot.

In summary: 4.5/10
The story/characters combined with "nier"-ish combat was fun, however, there are many gameplay improvements that could be made, which could have improved the score as much as getting between 7.5 - 9 out of 10 scores.

P.S. Fuck the boss fight with Jonathan Kappel!

It's such a bummer there's a thriving indie and AA scene but no one can nail the satisfying feel of a mid to high budget 6th gen hack n slash
