This was my go to every time I visited the arcade back in the day.
This is your typical arcade gun: you sit in this giant jeep looking thing and shoot mutant monsters as they try to overwhelm you. I played this game so many times with so many people I am pretty much a veteran (I wasn't very good though).
This is a 2 player game. Although it's perfectly fine just playing by yourself. 2 player is where all the fun comes in though. There's this QTR part where you and your teammate basically have to do something (press a button, point your guns...) at the same time to get passed an event. It was definite my least favorite part of the game because it's so cheap. For each stage there will also be a summary page that tells you how well you guys worked as a team. I remember vividly that I played this game with my crush once and the result said "Do you guys even know each other?" Luckily she didn't seem to have noticed lol.
The biggest highlight of this game is its bosses. Bosses would have weak points that you have to aim accurately at them to actually deal damage. This was harder than it sounds as the boss is constantly moving about the entire time. The challenge was, however, never unfair in my opinion and you are always able to best the challenge (fuck that mantis though). All the bosses' designs were awesome too.
This is also a big nostalgia game for me. Like I said, I played this game with so many people back in the day because this was my favorite. I would be elated to be able to play it again at an arcade shop some day.

Nope. Too many spiders. It's like if Shelob, Aragog, and the spiders from the Hobbit had a party and had a bunch of sweet baby spidelets, and then they became teenagers and started jumping.

I’d rate it a 3.5 but any game with giant spiders is a no go for me
