Mid biking game. Waste of potential, it's seen as a classic in Japan though...for some reason. It's not really that fun.

A decent racing game in a vacuum, but when Hang-On came out in the same year, it becomes less impressive.

I remember using my 3DS to buy and try some of the classic NES titles mae by Nintendo. At the time, Smash Bros 4 was around the corner, and the different discussion around the possible Retro characters that could have been added made me curious to try the classics fro the Famicom/NES era.

Mach rider was one of the ones I tried an let me tell you...

Mach Rider is the most straightforward videogame that ever videogamed.

You got a bike, and you ride on a single road... that's it!
Sometimes you got curves, sometimes you got puddles to avoid, sometimes you got enemies that you gotta shoot, since apparently this game is set in a Mad Max sorta future desert. I don't even remember if there were different levels or tracks, all of it was so samey that it blended together completely.
And everything is kinda clunky, even by NES standards. I honestly don't know what I was expecting, it's not like I wanted a awesome epic adventure with deep gameplay and giant lore... but even by NES standards, a lot of other classic offer more stuff despite the limitations of the system.

Even Excitebike is able to do more, with a more appeaing aesthetic, more varied level design and just... more stuff

Mach Rdìider is not a great classic. I can see being beloved for older player, but honestly I will suggest other NES classics over this one.

This game came out one console generation too early, imagine this with mode 7, better game design, and a sick boxart of the Mach Rider. It sucks all I can really think of this one is "Missed potential".

Still one of the best songs in Melee though. It's telling how well this game's soundtrack flows when Melee can make a medley of it and you wouldn't even know it WAS a medley of different songs without having actually played this.

Juego de carreras y disparos bastante entretenido.
