Simple story with great gameplay. If you love strategy games then get this one, if you don't then you might want to pass. Has incredible graphics and is fun to play.

It's a pretty bad port, but as my first time playing Homeworld at all, I absolutely loved it! Completed the first game in 15.2 hours, and throwing it on my backlog for now to return to Homeworld 2 later this year.

Homeworld, the game you want to love because spaceships are cool, but it kicked your ass on the 3rd mission and you can't really do anything about it since there aren't any difficulty settings. ~sigh~

Homeworld 1 is great with the Players Patch.

One of my Favorite RTS games of all time

I would like to clarify that I only beat HW1 (with the players patch). I love the first game a lot, it was hard but very rewarding. The story and soundtrack are also great.

I've heard that this is a botched remake, so I'll probably just play the original. I didn't get very far in the remake of Homeworld 1.

High potential, but the first game ports the second game's mechanics in an ill-fitting manner. You're always fighting against nigh-insurmountable odds in this case unless you deliberately scrap all your ships.

One of the all time RTS classics - banger music. It's difficult to get into, and some missions require a lot of tactical and unique solutions that makes it hard to recommend to everyone. Once it clicks though, it feels really good - when it clicks...

Also the "Classic" portion of original ports doesn't run well on modern hardware.
