Genuinely fun, mechanically complex, and wildly inventive. The idea of turning turn-based combat into real-time action is a concept most franchised have struggled with, and while it takes some getting used to, you can't deny Kingdom Hearts its due. Only pay attention to the story if you go in with the understanding that it's not good and will actively hurt your experience the more you expect from it.
One of my favorite game franchises. KH2 is by far my favorite just because of how amazing the combat is. Also all of the games are really replayable because of level 1 and critical playthroughs.

This collection is the perfect start for anyone wishing to get into the convoluted crossover that is "Kingdom Hearts." With four full games and two game-cutscene movies included, this action-packed collection is filled with literally hundreds of hours of content. The HD retexturing makes the PS2-era games look especially crisp and fresh, while keeping its early 2000 charm. For a game series so old, the controls hold up surprisingly well (though, the first Kingdom Hearts may take some getting used to). Kingdom Hearts II's combat system is still one of the best in the series, while Chain of Memories offers a unique card-combat system, and Birth by Sleep introduces players to the deck system (different from the card system by a long shot).
Enough cannot be said for how entertaining this series can be- keep in mind it is Disney-friendly, and there are definitely some cringe-worthy moments. But, it's all part of the charm. May your heart be your guiding key as you unlock the secrets to what makes this franchise so special for so many.

I have not played (and I don't intend to play) Chain of memories. Still Kh1, 2 and Bbs are really good games.

This collection holds some of the best action JRPG's of all time. Personal favorite is KH2 final mix but the other games are still a very high rating from myself even CoM. If you have to PC port of this game. Do yourself a favor to install the randomizers and play a few seeds!

KH1: Really fun action RPG (especially if you are a big fan of Final Fantasy and Disney). I think it aged pretty decently and the only mechanic that is completely awful is the spaceship traveling.
KH Chain of Memories: The card game mechanic is really weird but if you give it a chance it gets fun once you get it. There are some really challenging bosses.
