Being a fan of Afro Samurai I really wanted to give this game a chance, but it unfortunatley falls flat pretty quick. Before I dig into the gameplay let's go over what it nails, which is the visual presentation and soundtrack. The game still looks great 10+ years later thanks to it's styilized aesthetic, and the soundtrack sets the vibe & tone very well. With that being said however, it's not enough to cover up how barebones the gameplay is. While there isn't anything broken or egregious, there isn't any depth or progression to keep you interested. Plus being locked at 30fps for an action game is a sin.
