Persona 5 but better.
Though in all seriousness I believe Royal exceeds at just about everything 5 set out to do. All of the new content, especially the 3rd semester, are exceptional. However, if I had to criticize something, it would be that the content that they change is less than optimal, particularly with the boss fights. (If you've played it, you know which boss fight I REALLY don't like). Overall though I highly recommend this title, easily my favorite in the Persona series.

a masterclass of jrpg games with the quality of life every game needs. this game drips with style and the combat feels fresh every time you encounter a enemy. the supporting characters revolve around the protagnist a little too much but thats not that bad of a problem. an amazing experience.

Upon beating the original version of this game, I gave it a strong 9/10 because it slipped up in a few ways in my eyes. But upon beating this version, I can safely say that this version fixes almost every single issue that I originally had.
The music is the best in the series, the art style is fantastic, the menus are cooler than I’ll ever be, the story is engaging, and the characters are even better than I thought they were.
Mementos is better, the restrictions are toned down significantly, and I was able to achieve way more with my time than I ever did in the base version.
Truly unforgettable, undoubtedly a masterpiece.
