In the best traditions of Fabula Nova Chrystalis, Type-0 has a story that requires multiple playthroughs to make sense of, and the battle system that rarely goes anywhere beyond mindless "mash attack to win".
But I just can't bring myself to dislike this game. Type-0 goes all in on the topic of war destroying the lives of people and the world itself from the very first cutscene. And it does not let go until the very end (the true one). Scenes like summoning of Alexander in this game make every other FF look like a Saturday morning cartoon.
And the music is pretty damn good too.
