My icks with Olympus/Everest slowing the game down have started disappearing as I've been getting used to it, but it's still bothering me. Today I beat levels 6c, 7c, and 8c, thus unlocking Variants! I had fun screwing around with them :D
What I didn't have fun with was nabbing the Golden Strawberry on chapter 1b, that shit was so painful. I'm starting to reconsider whether I want to get them or not.
Nevertheless, I beat Celeste Classic from the title screen, thus unlocking all Steam achievements for Celeste!!

I've been having mixed feelings with the new Speedrun Tool mod and Olympus/Everest in general. Celeste takes longer to start, levels take longer to load and longer to finish, respawn times are longer, everything is a lot more sluggish. However, the Speedrun Tool mod has been super great with helping me practice, and it's so much better than Assist mode. Nevertheless, today I beat level 5c, and nabbed the Golden Strawberry on 4c and 5c, and the Moon Berry (see Celeste: Farewell logs)! Today was productive B)
